Tour: On this tour we get to know our neighboring community. If you like, you can also put your climbing or golfing skills to the test in the Jetzendorf forest climbing garden, which we will pass. We park behind the town hall, or the Volksbank, opposite the post office. Finally we go on the main road to the left following the green signs over the Kirchberg below the castle and the church. Now watch out and immediately follow the park path uphill to the left. 100 meters (m) after the right bend, turn left into the former castle park. The foliage is not so much on the majestic oaks and beeches, but it bathes the path in all colors and lets us walk as if on clouds. After 160 m we leave the forest keeping to the right and immediately reach the next trees.After the Bruder-Konrad-Marterl, we take a narrow path down a small serpentine to the main path.
There we turn right and take a leisurely stroll past the tennis courts to Schulstrasse. Warning, a sign has not yet been put up here. So just to the right and immediately to the left into the Schülerweg. We cross the Ilm, walk on the main street to the left and at the end of the village we walk to the right on the Schacherlstraße. The route continues along the edge of the forest, past a biotope with snack bars. Finally the path makes a right curve and the biggest climb has to be mastered. Once at the top we cross the street and follow it to the right on the footpath. Now we are rewarded with wonderful views of Jetzendorf. Passing the Kremshof chapel, we come to the Upper Bavaria Forest Climbing Park.
Tip for spring: linger a little under the trees on the comfortable benches and watch the climbers go on or better: dare to take a lap yourself.
A great experience in all levels of difficulty, also for children.
Our way back starts at the beautiful Marterl on a Jakobsweg feeder downhill.
Left on the street and the next right.
Cross it on the main road, turn right and left immediately past the fire brigade over the small path over the Ilm.
After the bridge on the right we meet the road, which we follow on the left back to the town hall.
Arrival and start: parking lot behind the Jetzendorf town hall.
