(CNN) -

Scottish hound Claire is making history.

For the second year in a row, Claire outperformed more than 180 dog breeds and won the Best in Show title at the National Dog Show in Philadelphia.

It is the first time that a champion has won the most important title two years in a row.

Good genes must run in the family: Claire's grandmother, Hickory, won Best in Show at the 2011 Westminster Kennel Club dog show.

The National Dog Show, organized by the Philadelphia Kennel Club, was held over two days, on November 20 and 21.

The exhibit, which first aired on NBC in 2002, has aired on Thanksgiving following the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade for nearly 20 years.
