Secretary of State for Rurality Joël Giraud tested positive for Covid-19 on Thursday and is in solitary confinement, his entourage said on Friday (November 26th).

Giraud, aged 62, has "
a mild flu-like condition
", the same source said. He was traveling Thursday with the Minister of Transformation and Public Service Amélie de Montchalin in Meung-sur-Loire (Loiret) and Wednesday in Eure-et-Loir for meetings with local actors, including the rural mayors of the department .
Amélie de Montchalin for her part was tested Thursday evening with a negative result, said those around her.
Joël Giraud is the third member of the government to be currently contaminated by the epidemic, along with Prime Minister Jean Castex and Minister of Integration Brigitte Klinkert.
All of them reported suffering from mild symptoms.
