Covid-19: tightening of health restrictions in the Netherlands

The head of government announced a new turn of the screw after the measures taken last week. The Netherlands registers more than 20,000 new cases daily.


The Dutch Prime Minister announced Friday, November 26, a strengthening of health restrictions to fight an outbreak of Covid-19 cases, such as the closure at 5 p.m. of bars, restaurants and non-essential shops.

From Sunday, everything in the Netherlands is in principle closed between 5 p.m. and 5 a.m.

", apart from essential shops, Prime Minister Mark Rutte said at a press conference in The Hague, where a few dozens of demonstrators gathered.
