A driver from Belgium was driving on the A8 in the direction of Munich with a significant alcohol content.
His problem: he was caught by the police.
As reported by the Holzkirchen autobahn police, the vehicle was stopped at Irschenberg on Thursday evening around 8.30 p.m. as part of a general routine check.
Upon contact with the driver, a 56-year-old Belgian who was on the way to Augsburg, the officials noticed a smell of alcohol.
The breath alcohol pre-test carried out showed 1.8 per mille and thus confirmed the police officers' first impression.
A blood sample was then taken and the driver's license secured.
The driver can now expect criminal proceedings with a fine and a driving ban.
