Creating a new brand, whether watchmaking or not, is first and foremost to tell a story, preferably a beautiful one, and a true one.
Furlan Marri's is like a fairy tale.
Indeed, this brand, already present at Dubai Watch Week this year, was founded in Geneva by two enthusiasts, just one year ago.
One is a very young Swiss watch designer, Andrea Furlan.
The other is a collector and artist of Saudi origin, Hamad Al Marri.
Both launched their concept, from design to prototype, in a world in complete confinement, from their homes and via a crowdfunding campaign via the Kickstarter platform, in March 2021. To say that it was crowned with success would be To put it mildly: the project will have been funded in 35 seconds flat.
In one hour, the project had raised more than half a million euros.
Since then, the duo have already delivered 5,000 watches in seven months, and were even awarded the prize for horological revelation at the last edition of the Grand Prix d'Horlogerie.
