Corpses hung on vehicle bridges or left on public roads are part of an increasingly frequent landscape in Zacatecas, in northern Mexico.
Faced with this situation, the government of Andrés Manuel López Obrador presented on Wednesday a security plan to increase the military and police presence in the state, mainly in the municipalities where violence has increased in recent weeks.
The measure comes into effect after 17 bodies were found exposed on public roads in less than a week.
