The Secretary for Innovation and Technology, Xue Yongheng, attended the launch ceremony of the Hong Kong Innovation Park today (26), said that the Hong Kong Health Code has completed the system development and is now conducting the final test before going live.
The health code will adopt the real-name system, and personal information such as name and so on is required when downloading the program.
As for Industry 2.0, Xue also said that the government will continue to promote re-industrialization in five major areas, including infrastructure, talent, capital, technology, and scientific research, to make the industrial chain more complete.
The former industrial village has been repositioned as an innovation park, which will help the transformation of research and development results and bring more business opportunities.
System development of health code has been completed
Xue Yongheng pointed out that technology is also an important part of the government's epidemic prevention work, and emphasized that it will continue to do a good job in related work.
He revealed that the Hong Kong Health Code has completed the system development and is now conducting the final test before going live to prepare for the early customs clearance between the two places.
He said that he will introduce the details together with the Government Information Technology Office next week.
Xue also pointed out that in response to epidemic prevention measures, the health code will adopt a real-name system, and personal information such as names must be provided when downloading the program to ensure that they are not high-risk persons during customs clearance, so that the epidemic prevention work can be carried out under control.

Xue also mentioned the development of innovation and technology in Hong Kong, referring to the government's policies and funding schemes to promote re-industrialization through innovation and technology.
The former industrial village has been repositioned as an innovation park to promote high-intelligence and high-value-added manufacturing, transform research and development results, and bring more business opportunities.
Xue Xu pointed out that the previous policy address proposed a number of measures. The government will continue to promote re-industrialization in five major areas: infrastructure, talents, capital, technology, and scientific research, so as to improve the industrial chain.
He cited that the Tseung Kwan O Innovation Park is building an advanced manufacturing center, which will be completed next year. It will provide enterprises with special design space and supporting facilities and enable high value-added and high-tech production lines to settle in Hong Kong.

Medical supplies manufacturing center is full
In addition, a medical supplies manufacturing center in Dapu Innovation Park is refurbished from an old factory building, providing an area of approximately 18,600 square meters, specializing in the production of medical equipment and protective materials.
