Hard night on the roads:
A 68-year-old man was fatally injured and was taken to the hospital during resuscitation operations in a car accident between several vehicles that occurred last night (light to Friday) on Road 1 near the Latrun interchange.
A 60-year-old woman was also moderately injured in the accident.
A senior MDA paramedic, Moshe Hemed, who witnessed the accident and MDA paramedic Avi Tzafdia, said: "I was driving in the opposite lane and noticed an accident. A vehicle that lost control collided with several vehicles. 68 and a woman in the sixties, the driver was unconscious, with severe multi-systemic injury, and the woman was fully conscious, we rescued them from the vehicle and immediately began to perform advanced and prolonged resuscitation operations on the man, after field efforts we evacuated him to hospital while continuing resuscitation operations as human condition. "After a life-saving medical treatment in the field, we urgently evacuated her to a hospital with her condition defined as moderate and stable. Another man, about 30 years old, who was slightly injured, was treated on the spot."
In another accident that occurred last night, a 17-year-old motorcyclist was injured by a car on Eliezer Mazal Street in Rishon Lezion, and he was taken to the hospital in fair condition with injuries to his abdomen and limbs.
In a third accident that occurred tonight, three people were injured, including a young man in his twenties in moderate condition and two in light condition, after their vehicle collided with a guardrail at the entrance to the village of Maghar in the north of the country.
The three were also evacuated to the hospital.
