The spokesman for the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, Behrouz Kamalvandi, announced that Iran currently possesses more than 30 kilograms of uranium enriched to 60 percent, and that in the next two days the amount of 20 percent enriched uranium will reach double the amount set by Parliament in the Strategic Action Law.

Kamalvandi said in an interview with Iran's Channel Six yesterday, "The talks that took place in Tehran during the visit of the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, Rafael Grossi, came for this purpose and to achieve good progress in the talks between the two sides, and work is nearing completion, except for some terms that we are still engaged in." discussions about it.

Regarding the terrorist act that the Karaj complex was subjected to several months ago and the IAEA’s reaction to that, Kamalvandi said, “The International Agency has condemned the targeting of the Karaj facility in part, but this is not enough.. We say that the Agency’s cameras have been destroyed and the Agency must At least condemn the vandalism of their cameras.”

Kamalvandi added, "We do not have nuclear materials in the Karaj facility, so the site is not subject to nuclear non-proliferation laws," noting that the center produces centrifuges and does not need to obtain permission from any organization because according to Article 4 of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, these activities are a right for Iran.

Regarding the leaking of secret reports by the International Agency on the Iranian nuclear program to the Western media, he said, "We, through letters, official statements, meetings with agency officials, and other things, have repeatedly declared our protest to the Agency over the publication of secret reports on Iran's nuclear activities because they are private, but there was no deafening ear and the agency continued." its behavior in disclosing the content of the reports.

Kamalvandi pointed out that the member states of the Board of Governors request reports with details, and in turn, the agency prepares and submits reports to them without any considerations. Therefore, Iran has given the agency the least amount of information during periodic reports, and it has been relatively successful in this matter.

Kamalvandi indicated that the International Atomic Energy Agency did not deal as it should have dealt with Iran, and this is a fact that international organizations are subject to the influence of major powers, but we must work to achieve our rights in such a situation, as he put it.
