District - New strategy: With immediate effect, the Landsberg Health Department and its Contact Tracing Team (CTT) are changing the procedure for tracking the contacts of close contact persons of people who have tested positive for the coronavirus with a PCR test (so-called 'index persons').

The focus is on people at risk.

The contact follow-up is now mainly focused on the household of the index person, as well as on vulnerable, i.e. particularly at risk, areas such as nursing homes, clinics, senior living groups or facilities for people with disabilities, says District Office press spokesman Wolfgang Müller.

These people are particularly at risk and need special protective measures.

The Landsberg health department follows the requirements of the specialist authorities (RKI and LGL) in the event of a very high infection rate in the district.

The infected person himself will be informed and enlightened about the positive result of the PCR test, continued Müller.

At the same time, she is asked to identify and inform contact persons (outside of her own household) herself.

The Landsberg Health Department gives instructions for the citizens of the district on the most important questions:

Positive test result

I have a positive rapid test:

Immediately go to quarantine at home.

Do a confirmatory PCR test.

(Appointments can be made at the Penzing test center on 08191 / 129-1770).

A negative PCR means no further measures and the end of the isolation.

I have a positive PCR result and have been vaccinated or recovered:

Immediately go to quarantine at home.

A free test using a rapid test can take place after seven days at the earliest if there are no symptoms typical of corona, otherwise after 14 days.

If you have symptoms, please contact your family doctor.

I have a positive PCR result, but I am not fully vaccinated and have not recovered:

Immediately go to quarantine at home.

If there are no symptoms, free testing is possible after 14 days using a rapid or PCR test.

As a rule, there is no active release from quarantine by the health department.

The quarantine ends after the specified deadline and, if necessary, the free testing as well as the submission of the negative free test result to the entire office.

contact person

When will I be the contact person?

Close contact is when you are less than 1.5 meters from an infected person for more than ten minutes without adequate protection.

This exists if the infected person and the contact person wore a continuous and correct mouth and nose covering (MNS) or FFP2 mask.

You are also the contact person if you had a conversation with an infected person where the distance of 1.5 meters was not kept and no adequate protection (as above) was worn by at least one person - regardless of the length of the conversation.

There is also close contact if you have come into contact with secretions from the mouth or nose of the infected person (e.g. when coughing, sneezing or kissing).

Or if you have been with an infected person for longer than ten minutes in a room with a likely high aerosol volume - regardless of the distance or the MNS / FFP2 mask you are wearing.

What should I do if I am close and fully vaccinated or have recovered?

If you don't have symptoms and don't develop them within 14 days, no further action is required.

If symptoms occur within the next 14 days, go to quarantine at home immediately and have a test (rapid test or PCR) carried out by your doctor.

What should I do if I am a close contact and have not been fully vaccinated and have not recovered?

Immediately quarantine for ten days.

From the seventh day onwards, if there are no symptoms, self-testing using a negative rapid test or negative PCR test is possible.

If a test is positive: see "Positive test result".

What do I do with test results?

Positive PCR tests are automatically reported by the laboratory to the health department due to the statutory reporting requirements.

Please send the results to the end of the quarantine by email to the health department.
