The Legislative Council election will be held on the 19th of next month. The briefing information of each candidate has been uploaded to the election website.

Under the new electoral system, there are only a few non-establishment camps participating in the election, and the public’s political awareness has been significantly weakened. District Councillor Lau Cheuk Yu from the southwestern New Territories, Cai Mingxi from the southeastern New Territories, and Huang Chengzhi from the northeast New Territories mentioned in their election messages that they would strive for universal suffrage.

All the candidates used the election information column to promote their political ideas, but one candidate did not provide any election information. This person is Xu Wenwei, who is running for the functional constituency of the catering industry.

After the electoral reform, many traditional democrats after internal discussions, none of their members expressed their interest in running for the Legislative Council. In the end, only a few independent democrats and non-establishment groups signed up.

Among the 10 directly elected seats in the districts, there are non-organizational and democratic parties participating in the election.

Among them, Liu Zhuoyu, who has the strongest pro-democracy color, clearly stated in the five major platforms that "promote universal suffrage and anti-appointment system", while Cai Mingxi clearly stated that he adheres to democracy, and the platform states "promote the implementation of dual universal suffrage as soon as possible."

Liu Zhuoyu's opponents are Chen Hengpin and Chen Yingxin, and Cai Mingxi's opponents are Li Shirong and Lin Suwei.

Huang Chengzhi, who was a former Democratic Party, still fills in "Democrats" in his political connection. The platform stated that "To seek amnesty for the democrats in custody, the government will take "five steps" for social reconciliation, and even oppose anyone using national security laws. As a tool of criticism, the Legislative Council is required to establish a police monitoring committee." Finally, it is required to restart the democratic and universal suffrage political reform program.

Huang Weihao, who also signed up to run for elections in the northeast of the New Territories, also mentioned in his political platform that he "formed conditions and restarted political reform."

Competitors in the same area are Li Zijing and Chen Keqin.

Tan Xiangwen did not mention the identity of the democrats.

The self-proclaimed "Goddess of Democracy" candidate Tan Xiangwen does not claim to be a democratic faction. He only wrote "Never retreat. Gathering Qi" and "Adversity, let each other live well." The candidates in the same district are Li Huiqiong and Yang Wenjie.

Other non-organizational systems talk more about the new thinking on people's livelihood: Do you really want to be all-in-one?

Most of the non-establishment factions mentioned more specific livelihood issues in the election information, including Fang Longfei, who participated in the election of Hong Kong Island West, talked more about tariffs, promoting the rehabilitation of criminals, and grassroots home ownership.

Frederick Fung's political platform, which has withdrawn from the Association for Democracy and People's Association for Democracy and People's Livelihood, also follows a strategy similar to that of the Association for Democracy and People's Association for focusing on people's livelihood.

Fang Longfei's opponents are Ye Liu Shuyi and Chen Xuefeng, while Feng Jianji's opponents are Liang Wenguang and Zheng Yongshun.

As for the new thinking that is very representative among the non-organizational factions, Chairman Di Zhiyuan ran for the functional constituency of the social welfare sector, and Secretary General Huang Junlang ran for the Northwest New Territories.

The election information of the two is exactly the same. It is filled with a blue page with a little white in the middle, and wrote: "Do you really want the same color?" The candidates for the Northwest New Territories include Zhou Haoding and Tian Beichen, and the social welfare circles. There are Zhu Liling and Ye Zhanxi.

Xu Wenwei did not provide any election information.

In the candidate profile, he only mentioned that he was 40 years old and his occupation was a businessman. After that, he filled in his email address, and he filled in not applicable (N/A) for other fields such as political contact and website.
