LR Congress: 140,000 members will be able to vote, 8,787 turned away for not having given their phone number

They are precisely 139,918. Each voter had to provide their mobile phone number in order to receive a password by SMS allowing them to take part in the vote.


They will therefore be exactly 139,918 members to be able to vote at the Congress of Republicans organized from December 1 to 4.

The party announced this final number in a statement sent to editorial staff on Friday afternoon.

Note, however, that 8,787 up-to-date members will

sums up the press release, signed in the first place by Philippe Bas, Senator LR and president of the control body.

180,000 raises

"In recent days, at the request of the control body, The Republicans have proceeded to more than 180,000 reminders to members who had not communicated this data,"

he also explained.

Xavier Bertrand, Michel Barnier, Valérie Pécresse, Éric Ciotti and Philippe Juvin will be separated during a first round organized from Wednesday 1 to Thursday 2 December.

The second round will take place from Friday 3 to Saturday 4 December.

A major induction meeting is scheduled for Saturday, December 11 at the Palais des Congrès in Paris.
