Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko once again denied the West's allegations that his country is benefiting from the migrant crisis on its borders with European countries, stressing that the West is trying to exploit the situation led by the United States, which plans while European countries implement American demands.

"Do not listen to that lie that says that the migrant crisis is good for us and that we invited the migrants to come here or we are the ones who transported them because it is all a lie," Lukashenko said during an inspection visit today to the logistics center that Belarus has set up near its border with Poland to receive migrants wishing to enter the European Union. Belarus is one of the countries that has been affected by the situation and does not benefit from it at all. Instead of taking care of other basic issues, we have to deal with the problems arising from the refugee crisis.”

Lukashenko added, "The West is trying to exploit the situation, especially Poland, but it is not the one who decides, but the United States, which tells the Poles what they must do," noting that it is not in Europe's interest to erupt another war and conflicts from which the Americans will benefit only.

The Belarusian president stressed that his government will not politicize the issue of immigration and will not prevent migrants from crossing the borders on their way to the European Union, pointing out that his government's goal is to help people in distress.

Lukashenko said: "The Belarus government will not forcibly deport any immigrant who does not wish to return to his homeland, as well as those who wish to go west, this is their right, and we will not pursue him, we will not beat him, and we will not hold him behind barbed wire."

Lukashenko renewed Germany's call to receive immigrants, most of whom want to join their families in its territory.

Thousands of migrants wishing to enter the European Union are still stranded at Belarus's border with Poland a month ago, as Poland deployed its military forces to prevent them from entering its territory.
