Police arrested this morning (Friday) two suspects on suspicion of the murder of Rasha Sitwai that occurred yesterday in the Galilee.

The identities of the two detainees are banned from publication.

Last night, near the murder scene, residents and relatives said no threats or distress were known to Sitawi.



Rasha Sitwai, 32, was shot dead last night at her home in the Galilee town of Merar.

The woman, who owns a beauty salon and a mother of three who was divorced, was shot while helping her 12-year-old daughter with homework.

MDA staff found her unconscious, and was forced to determine her death on the spot.



Sitawi lived in Marar at her deceased parents' house, after moving from Rama, where she lived with her husband before their divorce. She was also the cousin of Eyal Sitawi, a border police officer who was shot. To death on the Temple Mount about four years ago by terrorists, along with police officer Kamil Shenan.
