Wearing a mask will once again be compulsory outside in certain places in the capital.
The prefect of police took an order on Friday, at the end of the day, to reinstate the obligatory mask during rallies on public roads, festivals and shows, markets, flea markets, in front of places of worship and in queues of 'waiting.

"Due to the fifth wave of Covid-19, the territory of Paris and its metropolitan area is currently experiencing a rapid deterioration in its epidemic indicators"
, writes the prefect to justify his decision.
The incidence rate now stands at 266 against between 20 and 100 cases per 100,000 inhabitants in October.
As a reminder, wearing a mask is once again compulsory in all establishments and activities, even when the health pass is required.
Controls will be stepped up from this Friday, added the prefect.
