Rosenheim - The corona situation in Bavaria is tense.

On Thursday (November 25), eleven regions were above an incidence of 1000. On Friday, Prime Minister Markus Söder and Health Minister Klaus Holetschek (both CSU) travel to the hotspot regions in the Free State.

The politicians want to get an idea of ​​the current situation there and speak to representatives of the cities and districts, as the State Chancellery announced on Thursday.

Söder visits Corona hotspots in Bavaria - press conferences announced

First of all, Söder and Holetschek want to speak to representatives of the city of Rosenheim and the districts of Berchtesgadener Land, Mühldorf am Inn, Rosenheim and Traunstein in the Rosenheim town hall in the morning in Rosenheim.

At noon, a meeting with representatives of the city of Passau and the districts of Deggendorf, Dingolfing-Landau, Freyung-Grafenau, Passau, Regen and Rottal-Inn is planned at Neuburg am Inn Castle in the Passau district.

Press conferences are scheduled afterwards.

Corona hotspots in Bavaria - new rules since Wednesday

In the hotspot regions (incidence over 1000) - the rule has been in effect since Wednesday - public life has to be shut down in large parts.

Then restaurants (except canteens and take away offers) as well as all types of accommodation, sports and cultural facilities must close, leisure, sports and cultural events are prohibited.

The rule takes effect when a region exceeds the 1000 mark according to the Robert Koch Institute's figures - and then from the following day.

The hotspot rule has been in effect in eight districts and urban districts since Thursday, and another three will be added on Friday.
