Fürstenfeldbruck - Sometimes it's colorful figures, geometric symbols or colored decorations. What annoying painting is for some is urban art for others. It is precisely this art format that Stadtwerke Fürstenfeldbruck, in coordination with graffiti artist Melander Holzapfel alias Lando, has made its own at its transformer stations. The first plants in downtown Bruck have now been completed.

“We are happy to have found a great artist in the scene in Lando, with whom we can creatively design the walls of our transformer stations. To this end, we developed our own Stadtwerke motif, which graphically depicts our activities in renewable energies, ”praised Andreas Wohlmann, Head of Sales at Stadtwerke. "Our transformer stations are mostly located at prominent points in the city and in the surrounding area and are ideally suited for this art format." "I really enjoy working with the municipal utilities," adds Lando Holzapfel. “There are many great ideas for artistic collaboration with the local supplier - and maybe this will give other graffiti artists a platform for their works, possibly in a cultural event or a competition. This would be an asset for the urban graffiti scene in the region. "

In Fürstenfeldbruck, three transformer stations from Lando in cooperation with Christian Böck, alias Cis, have now been decorated: the transformer station at the district office, at the Obermühle hydropower station and at Silbersteg.

The two artists are currently working on a fourth.

The Bruck landscape with the city silhouette and Amper was chosen as a stylistic motif and combined with regenerative generation systems such as wind power or solar.

The Stadtwerke customer promise “simply close by for you” rounds off the overall appearance.

Lando and Cis are founders and owners of Munich's first graffiti agency Funky Fresh.

The two native Fürstenfeldbruckers, design graffiti and street art works of all kinds and are traveling all over Europe.
