Oberstdorf - The Oberstdorf Advent, which was originally planned on the Advent Saturdays from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m., is canceled again.

The Oberstdorf Advent, which was originally planned on all Advent Saturdays in the Kurpark and in the Oberstdorf Haus, cannot take place this year either.

The corona pandemic poses major challenges for the event industry and thus also for the organizational team at Oberstdorf Tourismus.

Under the given circumstances, the Advent working group sees no possibility of holding the events.

"We would have wished our guests and locals a little" normality "in these difficult times and especially in the Advent season," say the organizers of the event.

"The cancellation is a heavy blow for us".

Cancellation due to corona measures

The event could have been a great experience for all visitors.

The requirements were clear: 2G-Plus with admission controls outside and inside.

But the currently tightened measures do not allow implementation this year either.

There is still a ray of hope.

The visitors can look forward to the "largest Advent wreath" in the Allgäu, which traditionally stands and is illuminated in the spa gardens.

The Advent pictures of the Oberstdorf schools on this year's theme "Mountains" are also on display and can be viewed in the foyer of the Oberstdorf House.
