The project is called “Myriade”.
It is the first step of the French army towards the "
cognitive war
".
Announced on Friday by Minister Florence Parly on the occasion of the Defense Innovation Forum, Myriade draws her inspiration from the work of the Red Team, this group of science fiction authors who put their imagination at the service of the staff to write scenarios anticipating future threats.

Two of them in particular aroused the interest of officers.
In one, it was about
"deep brain fakes",
advanced manipulations of the mind.
In the other, individuals have daily recourse to a kind of virtual reality which locks them into alternative truths.
The story is not so extravagant: Facebook announces the development of its metaverse soon and the faked videos on the internet always turn out to be more real than life ...
