Five Americans and one US resident have been detained for four years in Venezuela.
They were found guilty of corruption in a closed-door trial.
All of them were executives at Citgo, the US subsidiary of Venezuela's state-owned oil company.
But a CNN investigation has determined that the men, known as the Citgo 6, were lured back to Venezuela and later tried on trumped-up charges.
