Not yet an approved vaccine for children

"There is still no approved vaccine for these age groups and there is no general vaccination recommendation for this target group," the district office also announced.

This means that people under the age of twelve can currently only be vaccinated if there is a particular risk for a child.

This can be due to previous illnesses, special contact situations or other, individual factors.

The decision about the implementation is made in the vaccination center.

Child vaccine already ordered

The vaccination center has already ordered the planned “children's vaccine” in sufficient quantities and has taken all organizational and personal precautions so that large numbers of children aged five and over can also be offered a corresponding vaccination offer in a timely manner from the moment of approval.
