The high is followed by a low: hair lost tax revenue

The community of Haar will have to make up for a financial deficit in 2022.

While taxes are bubbling up this year, they will collapse sharply next year.

So far, the community of Haar can look forward to unimaginably high trade tax income.

However, these will break away from 2022.

As a consequence, this means: increase taxes, adjust fees, reduce voluntary benefits or spend significantly less.

Anyone who envisions loan financing as a solution will be disappointed, because financing current expenses through loans is illegal and would therefore not be approved by the legal supervisory authority.

Constantly making use of the reserves is also not permitted.

When presenting the budget, which has a total volume of 104.7 million euros, chamberlain Gunter Rudolf spoke of radical changes.

The departure of by far the largest trade tax payer MSD will lead to a huge slump in the coming year, which cannot be offset even with increases in other taxpayers.

On top of that there are the effects of Corona.

“We won't know them until 2022,” said Mayor Andreas Bukowski (CSU).

And so the local council is faced with hard facts: The expenditure is 18.6 million euros higher than the income. In order for future budgets to be approved by the legal supervision, deletions in the voluntary benefits are inevitable. The residential construction projects in Salmdorfer Strasse, the expansion of the St. Konrad kindergarten, the expansion of the grammar school and the renovation of the Gasthof zur Post and community center would be completed. In order to initiate new major projects, Rudolf first needed planning security. Money is planned for smaller expenses for the fire brigade, schools, daycare centers or leisure facilities. Also for climate protection, the barrier-free conversion of the stops, the conversion of the D304 / B471 intersection, the conversion of the street lighting to LED or new bus shelters,especially since these expenses are subsidized by the state.

A total of 28.6 million are to be financed, 18.5 million will be taken from the budget, 16 million euros will come from general reserves and 2.8 million euros from borrowing.

The budget will be finalized next Tuesday.
