The investigation by the National Financial Prosecutor's Office opened more than five years ago against the Marseille elected representative Samia Ghali, in particular on the conditions of acquisition of her villa, was closed, confirmed the PNF on Friday, after a tweet from the former senator.

The investigators and the magistrates scrutinized my bank accounts, my credits, my family patrimony
", explained the deputy mayor of Marseille in a press release on Twitter: "
They examined in great detail the conditions of purchase of my house and the pool built by the previous owner.
My whole life has been scanned and laid bare, but it was a necessary transparency to put a definitive end to the attacks of which I was the target
”.

This is an "
authentic court decision which consecrates the victory of law and sincerity over slander,
" reacted the lawyer for the former socialist senator, Me Emmanuel Molina, questioned by AFP.
The elected representative of the popular districts of Marseille had been targeted since May 2016 by an investigation by the PNF on her heritage and in particular on the conditions of purchase of her villa in the chic district of Roucas-Blanc, a hill overlooking the sea and the corniche.
Investigators were also interested in subsidies paid at the time when Ms. Ghali was vice-president of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region, then headed by socialist Michel Vauzelle.
