Karlsfeld - The clammy community of Karlsfeld continues to turn the fee screw.
Following the corresponding recommendation from the main and finance committee, the municipal council decided yesterday to increase the cemetery fees and to increase the prices for the music theater subscription.
A few weeks ago the local council decided to increase the daycare fees by 25 percent (we reported).

The cemetery fees in Karlsfeld were last increased in 2013.
What is currently coming in doesn't even begin to cover the costs.
The cost recovery rate is currently around 68 percent.
According to the decision of the main committee and the municipal council, the fees will be increased so that 100 percent cost coverage is guaranteed.
The community is obliged to do this.
The previous fee rate for individual graves was between 24.80 and 31 euros per year.
After the increase, the rate rises to 56.34 euros.
The fee for urn burial sites has risen from a maximum of 16.80 euros per year to 92.47 euros.
The municipality can determine the level of fees for the use of the morgue and funeral hall itself; full cost coverage is not required.
It is still made in Karlsfeld.
With the new statutes coming into force at the turn of the year, the fee for the use of the morgue is 228 euros, and that for the use of the funeral hall is 275 euros.
The prices for theater subscription events will rise by 25 percent with the new 2022 season.
This was also decided by the main committee and the municipal council.
The subscription price for the first category has increased from 122 to 153 euros (reduced price 146 instead of 117 euros).
After the increase in the first category, the single ticket for an event costs 39 euros instead of the previous 31 euros.
The price increases for categories two to four increase accordingly.
Ingrid Brünich, CSU councilor and cultural advisor for the Karlsfeld community, spoke out in the main committee for the 25 percent increase.
“We have to come down a bit from the deficit.” The Greens and the Alliance for Karlsfeld even advocated a price increase of 30 percent.
Five events per year are currently offered as a music theater subscription.
However, in future the season will no longer start in autumn, but will take place in a calendar year.
It should start in January, if the pandemic allows.
The artistically high-quality series of events is in high demand and is usually sold out, with the exception of a few remaining seats, as reported by the municipal administration.
The number of subscribers remained almost unchanged, despite Corona and also after the last price increase in 2019. At that time, however, prices only rose by ten percent.
Terminations were made mainly for reasons of age and health.
