A man with drug habit followed a young woman to his home in Tin Shui Wai in the early hours of the morning. The woman took the elevator upstairs. Unexpectedly, when she saw the man stepping out of another elevator on the floor where she lived, she went home and informed her father and called the police.
After the arrest, the man said that he thought the woman victim was pretty and wanted to know her.

The defendant Liu Yingjie (26 years old) was charged with loitering in a housing estate in Tin Shui Wai on October 25, 2021, causing Woman X to be reasonably worried about her safety.

The case alleged that the 24-year-old female victim X was followed by the defendant to the building where she lived on her way home early in the morning.
When X entered the elevator, the defendant stayed in the elevator lobby and did not enter the elevator, but shortly after X reached the floor where she lived, the defendant was seen coming out of another elevator and staring at X silently.
Upon seeing this, X immediately returned to the residence, informed his father and called the police.
The defendant was arrested the next day. He cautioned that he said: "I saw a girl and a pretty mistress staying with him, knowing him, staying upstairs with him and scaring my relatives, I know."
Only rehabilitate can start again
The royal official quoted the defendant’s report from the drug rehabilitation center, stating that the defendant had taken drugs since the age of 17, which caused mental damage and required medical treatment.
His drug abuse also led to his weak willpower, which affected his judgment before committing this case.
The royal official also stated that the defendant was still young, thinking that he could only start anew if he could successfully detoxify, so he was sentenced to a detoxification center.
