Just over 30 years ago, four indigenous Zapotec and Chinantec communities living in the Sierra de Juárez, in Oaxaca, created an organization with the aim of ensuring the best possible management of the forest.
The forest is part of the identity of these populations, who have started a project to protect it, take advantage of it and regenerate it.
