Bad Wörishofen - After he had flown through the driving test eight times, a 21-year-old man from Unterallgäu apparently grew frustrated: He then decided to accept the offer of a dubious website.
However, the 21-year-old fell into a fraud trap.
After he had failed the driving test once more, the Unterallgäuer came across the tempting offer of an alleged driving school on the Internet. A new driver's license was offered there, issued within just four days. The whole thing for a price of only 1,600 euros and without any annoying checks. In addition, the site operator wrote that the certificate was approved by all authorities.
So the young man contacted the supposed driving school and paid in several installments.
However, this time too it did not go as smoothly as hoped for the bona fide customer.
The fraudsters came up with different excuses, so that the 21-year-old finally transferred 2,950 euros.
It was only when a further 899 euros were to be added that he became suspicious and filed a complaint.
According to the Bad Wörishofer police, at this point he still had the hope of being able to hold his new fake driver's license in his hands soon.
In this regard, however, he was quickly disappointed.
“There is no legally valid driver's license without prior examination,” the police also clarified.
The officials also advise you to refrain from dubious offers on the Internet and, if necessary, to inquire beforehand.
