For a long time it had been eagerly awaited, now it has also been presented publicly to the local council: the analysis of the outpatient medical care situation in Wartenberg.

Do you need an MVZ?

Wartenberg - While there was a lot of praise for the presentation of the IWG Sales commissioned with it, some market councilors were also disappointed because they had expected more concrete recommendations for action for the artz acquisition. The committee also heatedly discussed the question of whether a medical care center (MVZ) would not make sense. According to information from our newspaper, it has already happened in the past summer holidays that a practicing family doctor in Wartenberg was no longer available at short notice. IWG Sales examined what the current situation looks like, on the one hand with objective data acquisition, on the other hand through discussions with the local stakeholders. Almost all of them, and thus an above-average number of medical professionals, took part, says Sebastian Kierer from IWG Sales, which was switched on via Microsoft Teams on the screen in the Strogenhalle. People also asked around in the area, for example at the Erding Clinic.

In particular, family doctor care must be secured for the future, said Kierer, who proposed the implementation of a modern medical and health center that would become a location factor for the market community and encourage young doctors to settle down. In particular, the takeover of general practitioners' practices and their continuation should be facilitated.

In addition to family doctor care, the specialist groups gynecology, paediatrics and orthopedics, according to the doctors surveyed, could use an increase. "As far as general practitioners and paediatricians are concerned, specialists could easily settle in Wartenberg," said Kierer. Theoretically, there are currently 4.5 vacant family doctor seats and one pediatrician seat in the requirement planning. General practitioners, pediatricians and gynecologists - these are the most important specialist groups for young families, according to the speaker. There are currently two general practitioners, two specialists and two dentists in Wartenberg.

Kierer advises the community to go public very soon, in close consultation with the Wartenberg doctors, and to start recruiting. On the one hand, young doctors need modern rooms, but also practices in which they can work as employees if they wish. Therefore, it is crucial for the success that the project is supported by the vast majority of the general practitioners. As Mayor Christian Pröbst (CSU) has already glimpsed from the non-public, promising talks with doctors are already underway.

Kierer made it clear that the majority of the doctors and psychotherapists on site are over 55, one wants to stop in the next five years, another wants to change for the foreseeable future. At an older age, unexpected health setbacks could occur more quickly, which could result in a drastic drop in supply, Kierer warned. The death of general practitioner Theodor Pösl is still fondly remembered by many Wartenbergers.

The councils had no questions about the presentation itself, but after Kierer went offline, an intense debate broke out. Michael Gruber (SPD) was just as disappointed as he was with an expert report that had been drawn up four years ago - as a result, however, the topic fell asleep, as Pröbst also criticized. “For me it was 15,000 euros thrown out,” criticized Gruber and called for an MVZ for the northern district, without which it would not work in the long term - he would also be happy to do so in Berglern or Langenpreising. The main thing is that the citizens don't have to travel far. To this, Pröbst replied that the Wartenberg location was important to him. In any case, talks with District Administrator Martin Bayerstorfer are needed, Gruber said. Pröbst also wants to lead this. No matter what it will ultimately be - whether MVZ,Investor project or medical center - “we have to keep the process going,” he emphasized.

Dominik Rutz (Greens) criticized: "I am actually very disappointed with IWG Sales, have presented myself with much more specific recommendations for action." He did not want to understand why the company had not spoken to a specialist from Moosburg, for example.

"Unfortunately that was in vain."

Above all, the CSU did not want to let the criticism stand.

"The money is not completely thrown out," said Nina Hieronymus, they had good data.

And Markus Straßberger was certain: "If we hadn't commissioned the analysis, nothing would have happened again."

The market town pays so much district levy and has a growing population - that must be supported by the district, said Gruber.

"It can't be that 26 district parishes are chasing doctors from one another."

Martina Scheyhing (Greens) said that the population should not panic.

“At the moment we're not badly positioned.

Finding practice staff is the big problem of our time.

It's not always just the doctors. ”Franz Gerstner (CSU) vehemently contradicted this.

The late doctor is a good example of the contraindication to him.

Scheyhing also disagreed with Eduard Ertl (Neue Mitte).

You can stand whatever you want with IWG Sales.

“But we have to look at how we can secure our supply in the short term.” Especially since new building areas are also designated.

According to Ertl, the market must create good conditions with land and buildings.

"And we have an environment in which another doctor could live well," he said, referring to the competition between the doctors.
