Today, Australia and Canada announced the suspension of all flights from several countries in southern Africa, amid fears of the new Omicron mutant from the Corona virus.
And Australian media quoted the Australian Minister of Health, Greg Hunt, as saying that "his country is starting to implement a 14-day quarantine for citizens coming from 9 African countries, including South Africa."
In turn, Canadian Health Minister Jean-Yves Duclos announced that the government will impose strict measures in an attempt to limit the spread of the new strain, including subjecting to a 14-day quarantine.
