China today successfully launched a new satellite from Xichang Center in southwest Sichuan Province.
"The "Chongxing 1D" satellite was launched aboard a "Long March 3B" carrier rocket, and it entered the planned orbit successfully," Xinhua said.
This launch marks the 399th mission of the Long March series of carrier rockets.
