Today, Lattakia City Council organized a cleaning campaign in Sheikh Daher Square in the city and the streets branching from it

In cooperation with the Syndicate of Engineers, the Directorate of Environment and the United Nations Development Program “UNDP”.

The head of the city council, Hussein Zingerli, said in a statement to SANA that the campaign comes within the framework of the National Environment Day activities under the slogan “Cleanliness of my city is my responsibility,” and included the work of removing garbage, installing baskets, cutting and pruning trees, and cleaning the water pool in the square.

The campaign came at the conclusion of an environmental symposium held by the Syndicate of Engineers at its headquarters over two days with the aim of spreading environmental awareness and ways to advance it, during which the winning children were honored in the environmental competition previously announced by the Syndicate.
