The reason for this is the better training opportunities, as Chairman Matthias Birnkammer explains. “Our main concern is the youth. With us it is always full when there is a training shooting. Many clubs that primarily rely on society are currently having problems getting people back into the clubhouse. That is not the case with us ”, he explains the wish to remain attractive as a club for the youngsters. This requires modern, high-quality training opportunities.
“The performance of our shooters is impressive. When it comes to away competitions, there are almost only electronic stands there. The training should of course be geared towards this, ”emphasizes Birnkammer. In addition to the normal shooting ranges, there should also be opportunities for light rifle shooting. In addition, one would like to make more use of biathlon stands.
The renovation work will cost around 45,000 euros.
A subsidy of between 30 and 40 percent can be expected.
VR-Bank Erding is currently running a fundraising campaign under the motto "Many create more" for the rifle club's own contribution.
Donations for the renovation will be accepted until mid-December.
VR-Bank puts 20 percent of the final amount on top.
