Today, Germany, Italy and the Czech Republic announced the registration of cases of the new mutated strain of the emerging corona virus, "Omicron".
And Agence France-Presse quoted the Ministry of Health in the southern German province of Bavaria as saying in a statement that it had been confirmed that two suspected cases of the Omicron mutant, which had been classified by the World Health Organization as worrisome, had been recorded, noting that the two cases were related to two people who arrived from South Africa at Munich Airport.
In turn, the Italian government's Higher Institute of Health announced that it had detected one infection with the Omicron strain, pointing out that the recorded infection belonged to a person who came from Mozambique.
In the Czech Republic, the National Institute of Public Health said that the country is studying a suspected case of the omicron mutation that was discovered in a person who spent some time in Namibia.
Britain had announced earlier today that it had detected two cases of the new strain of Corona "Omicron" in the country.
