The corona virus is shaking up the calendar of meetings in the city of Grafing.

The mayor is infected.

Grafing

- Grafings Mayor Christian Bauer (CSU) has been infected with the corona virus.

He confirmed this on Friday morning at the request of the Ebersberger Zeitung.

Until further notice, he will work at home in the home office.

"I can work normally and I also take part in the virtual CSU district parliamentary group meeting on Friday afternoon," he said.

The infection was discovered like this: On Monday, Bauer had submitted his own information after a PCR test.

"To be on the safe side.

I had a bit of a cold and had a runny nose. ”Then on Tuesday he got the result:“ Covid-positive ”.

The result: the mayor is now in quarantine at home until at least December 2nd.

"Then I can test myself." The symptoms are very mild, reports the mayor.

“I don't have a fever and I just have a little cough,” he says.

"I also feel fit."

Because there is another suspected case in the administration, the result of which was not yet available on Friday, two meetings had to be postponed.

The meeting of the building and works committee scheduled for Tuesday, November 30th at 5 p.m. has been rescheduled to Thursday, December 9th.

The session starts at 5 p.m.

And since recommendations for the next city council meeting will be made in this building committee meeting, this will also have to be postponed, said Bauer.

The plenary session planned for Tuesday, December 7th at 7 p.m. will now take place on Tuesday, December 14th at 7 p.m.

Bauer probably also owes the mild course of his infection to his immunization through two vaccinations.

"This is a classic vaccination breakthrough," he said on the phone.

Bauer received his second vaccination on July 15th.
