Holzkirchen - The traffic situation in Holzkirchen is to be improved with a southern bypass.

In a letter, the Greens are now astonished.

Since the online presentation of the current planning status with all the pros and cons of a Holzkirchen southern bypass in March 2021, the large-scale project in the market town has become a little quieter. After the Greens' request for a round table was recently rejected by a majority by the municipal councils, the parliamentary group is now asking the mayor to provide public information as to whether the investigations by the Rosenheim State Building Authority have been completed and what consequences and what consequences Recommendations result from this.

According to the Rosenheim Road Construction Office, the through-traffic of Holzkirchen on the B13 federal road is characterized by traffic jams and obstructions as well as considerable noise and exhaust emissions for residents.

A southern bypass with a connection to the existing federal highway B318 north of Warngau is intended to remedy this.

Planning, needs and progress are accompanied by political pros and cons from the start.

In his letter to Mayor Christoph Schmid, Greens parliamentary group spokesman Robert Wiechmann is astonished that he had mentioned during the discussion about the round table that the building administration was reviewing another route variant that had not yet been investigated.

Wiechmann stated: “We Greens, as opponents of a southern bypass, were surprised that this happened, so to speak, on request. This was no longer provided for in the previously very transparent procedure. ”In his opinion, this is based on a proposal from CSU circles. According to this, the route south of Großhartpenning, before Kurzenberg, should swivel steeply to the north and then continue over the moraine hump between Kurzenberg and Kleinhartpenning and finally merge with the previous B13.

Wichmann suspects the trigger is the fact that variants 2 and 3 favored by the Holzkirchen CSU in the local election campaign, according to the Rosenheim Road Construction Office, presumably fail due to prohibitions and should therefore not be pursued further.

However, in the opinion of the Greens, the route also carries the great risk of failing due to prohibitions on demand.

As group spokesman Wiechmann said, the Greens are now calling for public information on the status or the conclusion of the investigations in the interests of the citizens.
