The joint Iraqi forces launched today a large-scale security operation to hunt down the remnants of (ISIS) terrorists on Khalidiya Island and its surrounding areas.
A statement to the media of the Popular Mobilization stated that Alsumaria News received a copy of it, "The operation came after receiving accurate intelligence and follow-up information about the presence of elements of the terrorist organization (ISIS) in the island and its surrounding areas, where the crowd forces, with the support of the Directorate of Medicine and Military Engineering, carried out extensive operations to pursue and track the terrorists."
The statement indicated that the Iraqi forces continue to advance on two axes, according to the plans drawn to achieve all their goals.
The Iraqi forces continue to pursue the remnants of ISIS in a number of regions of the country.
