Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi stressed that his country's priority is cooperation with neighboring countries and the region.
Raisi said before leaving Tehran for Turkmenistan to participate in the fifteenth summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO), one of our important policies is that we give priority to cooperation with neighboring countries, which are the focus of our work, and we always have ideas and plans for them, expressing hope that the visit will be an influential factor for regional cooperation and bilateral relations with countries neighbourhood.
And the Economic Cooperation Organization, whose summit will be held under the slogan We cooperate together for a better future, is an international organization based in Tehran and has great importance in the world in terms of energy supplies and transmission. Its membership includes 10 Asian countries and 400 million people. The main objective of its establishment is to provide an opportunity for more economic cooperation and development Among the member states are Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, Uzbekistan, Iran, Pakistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan.
