In August 2022, a NASA probe called Psyche will set out to explore a giant asteroid.

Building on the technology used in previous missions, solar energy will help propel Psyche into deep space.

If the mission is successful, it could be the beginning of an era in the use of more efficient probes, in terms of fuel.
