The Centre for Health Protection today (27th) added three new imported cases. The patients were all infected with the L452R variant virus and had been vaccinated. One was a Russian crew member arriving in Hong Kong, and another 72-year-old woman arriving in Hong Kong from India was quarantined at the hotel. Fever and runny nose were diagnosed during the period.
In addition, fewer than 5 cases were initially diagnosed today.
The Centre for Health Protection is investigating three new imported cases of new coronary pneumonia. So far, the total number of imported cases in Hong Kong has been 12,425, and a total of 43 imported cases have been reported in the past 14 days.
All the new cases involved infection of variant virus strains.
The case involved one man and two women, aged 47 to 72 years old.
All three arrived in Hong Kong from a designated area (high risk) in Group A.
The two tested positive at the airport when they arrived in Hong Kong, and the other one was diagnosed during the quarantine period.

Case 12428 is a 47-year-old woman with no symptoms. She had received two doses of Fubital vaccine in Hong Kong. She arrived in Hong Kong by CX252 from the United Kingdom on November 25.
Case 12429 is a 72-year-old woman who arrived in Hong Kong from India via the UAE on November 21 on EK384. She developed runny nose and fever during the quarantine at the Regal Airport Hotel on November 25, and was diagnosed later.
Case 12430 is a 58-year-old male crew member who has no symptoms. He had received two doses of the vaccine locally. He arrived in Hong Kong from Russia on November 26 by taking RU449.
The center also reminded designated persons related to Kaiyu, 8 Minden Path, Tsim Sha Tsui, to comply with the mandatory testing announcement tomorrow (28th) for testing.
