In turn, Dr. Abdullah Hatahet, Vice-President of the Association, stressed the importance of integrating medical work between the doctor and the technician with regard to forensic radiology to identify dead bodies through the investigation of vital signs of death, pointing out the importance of transferring the study of the radiological technician from a two-year study in institutes to the College of Medical Sciences for a period of four years, with the aim of Qualifying the cadres more, especially with the development of radiography devices, so that the technician becomes fully aware of the mechanism of work on them.
Regarding the role of radiology in diagnosing cases of forensic medicine, Dr. Ali Bilal, Director of the Forensic Medicine Center in Tartous, spoke about the importance of what radiology provides for a complete study of forensic medicine in diagnosing cases of foreign bodies inside the body or in accidents and everything that concerns forensic medicine to study the injury and diagnose the causes of death, so that we avoid access For the autopsy stage to find out the cause of death.
Dr. Anas Shabib, a cancer radiologist from France, stressed the importance of the conference and the presentation of the round table on ovarian cancer, which would improve warnings about the advanced stages of this disease due to the high death rate in it, while highlighting a new drug for treatment.
In turn, Dr. David Atallah from Lebanon, a specialist in gynecological oncology, stressed the importance of precise surgical work, which represents the cornerstone of treatment, as well as the importance of synchronization between the specialist and the radiologist to properly understand the disease and give details about it widely so that the radiologist recognizes the repercussions of the disease as it gives work Medically based on surgical work.
Professor Rawda Saadallah, President of the Syrian Society of Medical Imaging Technologists in Syria, considered that the participation of a radiography technologist for the first time in a medical conference is very important because it presents a diagnostic material, which is the image of the specialist doctor, on which to base the diagnosis of the patient’s health condition, adding that such conferences introduce the technician to the most important and latest The devices and their mechanism of action, as well as the strengthening of medical information in general, which enhances its ability to work with high efficiency and accuracy.
The conference was accompanied by an exhibition of the latest radiographic devices, in which the participating companies presented advanced high-tech devices that enhance the results of diagnostic radiology.
