The Cultural Center in Salhab, in the western Hama countryside, hosted an art exhibition entitled “Big Dreams,” which included a group of artworks from plastic art paintings created by young men and women with artistic talents, under the supervision of artist Faten Abbas.
The artist, Faten Abbas, who is in charge of the exhibition, said in a statement to SANA reporter, "The exhibition, which included 200 artworks and 60 talented people participated in it, is an artistic and creative product of young people who were trained over a year at Shams Institute on the principles and rules of drawing by refining their talents and putting them on the right track."
She pointed out that there is a discrepancy in the level of students' talents and the duration of training for each trainee, as each of them reflected the level of his talent and the extent to which he benefited from the training through the panels in which he participated.
Nour Al-Khair, one of the trainers at the Shams Institute, saw that the paintings were generally good and varied in their subjects and techniques between lead, charcoal, wood, watercolor and oil, according to the interaction of each participant, indicating that during the training period she was keen to work in a manner of motivation and guidance for them without indoctrination by giving them the basic notes and the necessary techniques To paint to finally leave them the freedom to express what goes on in their imagination and ideas.
Among the participants in the exhibition, Jaidaa Al-Hassan considered that this participation constituted an important opportunity for her to display her talent, introduce her and express her passion for painting and art.
Young Sandy Diop had her first chance to participate in the exhibition, which highlighted the potential of her talent and helped her convey her artistic message to the people around her, according to what she said.
