The Jusos also criticized social aspects of the coalition agreement, such as the insufficient protection against rent increases or the asylum policy.

One delegate said that from his point of view the “traffic lights” wanted to “deport more people than the Union”, and added: “My mood is changing.

Olaf Scholz did not completely crush the criticism, but tried to steer it in other directions. He asked for restraint in criticizing the coalition partner of the SPD.
