The delegates' meeting of TSV Starnberg on Thursday evening was all about Corona.

The pandemic is also having a negative impact on the fund and membership development.

Starnberg -

Spit once, please: The subject of Corona was already the focus of this year's general meeting of TSV 1880 Starnberg. In order to meet the criteria for 2G plus, all delegates had to take part in the corona spit test on Thursday. Unsurprisingly, the new ordinances were the dominant theme at the meeting. After all, vaccinated and recovered members are now only allowed to practice their sport in the 14 departments of TSV 1880 with a valid test.

“It's actually only a small plus, but with a big impact.

But we mustn't let our heads down, we have to make the best of the situation, ”demanded TSV President Hans Michael Jungwirth.

He recalled that a year ago no club activities were possible.

“We mustn't let the joy of sport take away from us,” appealed Jungwirth.

TSV Starnberg plans with a minus of 18,000 euros

But it is also clear that the overall situation is burdening the club. The Starnbergers have to cut corners, especially financially. The association is planning a minus of 18,000 euros for 2022. The association closed 2020 with a deficit of around 6,000 euros. "We are still financially well positioned, we were able to carry out renovation work and want to have the roof of the tennis clubhouse renewed next year," said the 2nd President Petra Otterbach, who is responsible for finances.

The decline in membership is still worrying.

While 2829 athletes were still active in the district townspeople in 2019, there were only 2374 on November 1st of this year.

The consequences of the crisis cannot be denied, ”said Jungwirth.

The Starnbergers do not want to surrender to their fate, but do everything to counteract the trend.

For example, the “Get involved - be fit” campaign for elementary school students brought 43 new members.

"The biggest pound that we can grow with are our trainers," explained Jungwirth.

That is why you should definitely not save on further training.

TSV Starnberg: basketball players migrate to SV Söcking

It was painful to say goodbye to the recreational basketball players who have found a new home at their neighbor SV Söcking. "We will work intensively in the next few years to ensure that we can offer this great sport again," promised Jungwirth. Furthermore, coach support is required in the fields of athletics and volleyball. A position as an employee in the voluntary social year or dual student is also open.

Eva Peindl (gymnastics) and Dirk Neumann (table tennis) will support the board of directors in the future.

Both were elected unanimously.

Board member Dr.

Thomas von Czettritz.

Office employee Angie Dolina (is retiring this year) and football department manager Wiggerl Kastenmeier (no longer competes after 43 years) received great applause.

Caretaker Andi Gruber also leaves for reasons of age.

A replacement is still being sought for the head of the swimming department, Andreas Lenz, who has moved to Austria.

“The courses are still running.

Unfortunately we have very long waiting lists, but we don't get any more time in the swimming pool, ”Jungwirth regretted.
