Syria, represented by its embassy in Pakistan, participated in the activities of the diplomatic and charitable bazaar organized by the Women's Association in the Pakistani Ministry of Foreign Affairs in cooperation with diplomatic bodies in Islamabad.
The Syrian participation included displaying a wide range of products, foods, modern and ancient Syrian products that reflected the depth of the cultural history of the Syrian people.
Chargé d'Affairs at the Syrian Embassy in Islamabad, Ambassador Mazen Obaid, said that this participation is the first of its kind for Syria in a long time in Pakistan, pointing out that the Syrian wing in the bazaar attracted everyone's attention, especially the friendly Pakistani people and the Arab brothers participating in the bazaar.
Ambassador Obeid stressed that the Syrian participation reflected the depth of the historical relations between the two friendly countries, as well as crystallizing the achievements of the current stage in which bilateral relations are witnessing great development at various educational, cultural and tourism levels.
The participants in the bazaar, including Pakistani officials, diplomatic figures, Arab communities, and others, displayed the products and industries of their countries to be sold for the benefit of charitable societies with the aim of promoting the culture of donation and assistance to these societies.
