In municipal political bodies, the pre-Christmas period always means: budget.
In the preliminary consultations, one goes through position by position.
In Olching, this first happens in the individual specialist committees.
One point now attracted particular attention in the urban development committee: the e-charging stations.
Olching - Ingrid Jaschke from the Greens was very astonished that the charging stations are lousy - or that the maintenance costs exceed the income.
In the budget for 2022, 4500 euros were calculated for income and 7000 euros for maintenance (e.g. maintenance).
That makes a minus of 2500 euros.
Mayor Andreas Magg (SPD) explained that it is about the e-charging stations directly at the town hall and on Pestalozzistraße in Esting.
The latter was something of a political signal.
“The income from the intensity of use is not there yet.” In other words, too little is being refueled here so that the costs are not recovered.
But it is assumed that this will change in the future.
The 4500 euro income is also a conservatively calculated approach of the combing.
The actual amount this year is already 6500 euros.
Jaschke therefore suggested posting this amount in the coming year.
Then the (arithmetical) deficit is smaller at 500 euros.
"That looks better," she said.
However, the low level of use at the locations also caused astonishment.
"My colleagues tell me about the overloading of the e-charging stations," reports CSU city councilor Tomas Bauer.
Used as a parking lot?
And obviously this also applies to other charging stations.
“The ones on Ilzweg and Nöscherplatz are very busy,” said Mayor Magg.
That in turn leads to other problems.
The vehicles are allowed to stand in front of the shop.
But whether the vehicle really needs to be refueled with electricity, or whether the parking lot is convenient, is difficult to check, as Magg reports.
There would be no use of warnings.
Samples had shown that this was the main problem.
Not that drivers just stand in the parking lot without charging.
One solution would be parking discs.
But that would be a problem again at night, if someone puts their car there, they have to go out again.
"It's not that easy to solve."
