Visitors to the exhibition “Visions and Impressions” by the photographic artist Anton Mazawi and the embroidery artist Tamar Shahinian draw the attention of the autumn leaves of the trees at the entrance and the stairs of the Zawaya hall, which in various sizes, between large and medium sizes, simulate the autumn season in a dazzling way, to which the artist Shahinian adds embroidery and tree leaves to increase its beauty.

The artist Mazawi explained that the exhibition is a kind of happy situation in a time that needs any space of joy in our country, pointing out that it depicts in a way that cannot be imitated through its use of the physics of lenses and the directions of perspective and light. Exist in nature.

Mazawi pointed out that his partner, Tamar, added her touch with a new art of embroidery on photography, which is modern in Europe, and this is the first time it has been implemented in our region, with an artistic vision, pointing out that the importance of the idea in the work should not be at the expense of the soul.

The artist Shahinian explained that she entered the door of electronic embroidery with a desire to create an art of this craft, pointing out that her meeting with the artist Mazawi opened the way for her to start an exhibition of the embroidered picture with him two years ago.

Shahinian indicated that the current exhibition was more advanced visions and impressions, as she added elements of nature such as leaves, collected leaves from the Damascene countryside and added some materials to preserve them, pointing to her newness in this exhibition, which is printing the image on the fabric after adding embroidery on it.

Irfan Abu Al-Shamat, head of the Union of Fine Artists, considered that this exhibition of photography has very wonderful stations that represented nature and the current autumn season. Joint exhibitions where each one adds his own creativity.

The artist Muwaffaq Makhoul drew attention to the beautiful relationship between formation, thread and photography, noting the importance of the artist Mazawi in the art of photography, especially through this exhibition, in which he presented striking works that imitated the autumn season. Employing it literal, visual and aesthetic.
