Lynn Manuel Miranda, who is in charge of the musical "Hamilton" and one of the shining stars in the Hollywood skies, is one of the creators of the Disney animated film "Ancanto", and he enjoys every moment

Over the weekend, Disney Studios' animated film "Ancanto" was released in theaters, and its creators are responsible for films such as "Zotropolis", "Plonter" and "Bolt".

The plot of "Ancanto" ("Magic" in Spanish) takes place in Colombia and deals with members of the Madrigal family.

Each of them was born with a magical supernatural ability, except for Mirabelle, a slightly slum-like girl but full of joy and love for others.

When the family home is in danger, Mirabel tries to understand why only she did not have a special talent, and then discovers that she may have hoped to save everyone.

The dubbing team includes John Lagwizamo (the voice of the lazy Sid in the Ice Age film series), Wilmer and the drama ("The 70s Show") and the singer Maluma.

Who co-wrote the music for the film and screenplay is Lynn-Manuel Miranda, who signed the acclaimed and award-winning musical "Hamilton" on Broadway, and in recent years has become a valuable Disney talent.

Among other things, he starred in "Mary Poppins Returns", composed the soundtrack for "Moana" and is currently working on the musical side in the live-action adaptation of "The Little Mermaid", which will air in 2023.

"Ancanto" was directed by Byron Howard and Jared Bush, who five years ago won the Oscar for best animated film for "Zotropolis". Howard has previously directed the animated films "Tangled" and "Prominent." Bush co-created films such as "6 Heroes," "Ralph Breaks the Internet" and "The Last Dragon and the Dragon."

While promoting "Oncanto", Howard said that "after the success of 'Zotropolis', Jared and I were really keen to do an animated musical. We were both musicians from childhood, and grew up on musicals. Jared worked on 'Moana' and came out with a great experience in collaboration. "The operation with Lynn-Manuel, so the three of us started rolling out the idea."

Miranda, a member of a Puerto Rican immigrant family, is firmly on the Hollywood radar ahead of the ceremonial season, with the cinematic adaptation of his musical "Neighborhood on the Heights," which went up in the summer and garnered praise.

He also made his film directorial debut in an adaptation of the Broadway musical "Tick, Tick ... Boom!", Which aired on Netflix last week.

According to Miranda, his connection to "Encanto" was immediate.

"It all started with a family story, and the idea of building a musical around it was fascinating," he said.

"The Colombian rhythms were familiar to me, but the composition of the instruments - and especially the accordion - was quite new. The essence of the work on the film dealt for me with falling in love with Colombian culture."
