The Israeli delegation in judo to the Grand Slam Abu Dhabi today (Sunday) picked up two more medals in the competition.
Inbar Lanir (up to 78 kg) was the first to reach her battle and did so in less than a minute against Patricia Brolich of Slovenia. Later, Raz Hershko (over 78 kg) defeated Russian Grasperian.
Lanir lost to British Emma Ride in the quarterfinals (to which she automatically qualified) and was relegated to the House of Consolation.
There, she defeated the Lithuanian Miguel Dudnite and went up to the battle for the bronze where as mentioned, she won.
Hershko qualified for the semifinals after a quarter-final victory over Hilal Ozturk of Turkey, where she lost to France's Leah Fontaine.
In the battle for bronze she defeated Russia's Grasperian.
Last Friday, Geffen Primo (up to 52 kg) achieved the delegation's first medal in the competition.
