Avi Sagi has been appointed chairman of the Gymnastics Association | Israel Today

At a meeting of the board of the gymnastics association held today (Sunday) in Tel Aviv, the appointment of Avi Sagi as chairman of the gymnastics association was unanimously approved. Sagi will serve as permanent chairman until the end of his term.

Sagi's appointment was made after Moran Mesika retired as acting chairman due to her appointment as CEO of the Athena Foundation. 

Sarit Shinar, the union's general manager, said: “My father has been active for many years as a public figure in the field of sports.

He has served as a member of the Audit Committee of the Association and a member of the Board of the Football Association and the Finance Committee of the Basketball Association.

His work for sports in Israel is known to everyone and the management of the association believes that he is the right man for the job and wishes him great success. "

Avi Sagi said: "I am proud to serve as chairman of the gymnastics association and thank the members of the management for the trust they have placed in me.
